| Storage and handling for metal roofing and siding
Proper care in storing and handling Diversified Industries panels is essential. Panels not being immediately installed MUST be kept dry. Preferably, panels and trim should be stored in an indoor area. If indoor storage is not available, extreme caution should be taken in order to prevent moisture penetration of the stack(s) by condensation, rain or snowfall. Whether storing indoors or outdoors, the panel stack(s) should always be stored off the ground on wooden blocks, with one end slightly elevated. The banding around them should also be cut. A waterproof paper or a canvas tarp should be placed over the stack(s), but in no way should it be tightly secured to the ground, in order to allow proper airflow to occur. Plastic tarps should NEVER be used. The plastic will only create and hold in condensation. |
